Our Congregation, the Sisters of Our Lady of La Salette is blessed with a founding event - the Apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary at La Salette in France on September 19, 1846. Our charism and spirituality is Reconciliation which is the heart of the message of the Apparition.
Responding to the call of our Lady of La Salette to make known the merciful and reconciling love of the the Father through Jesus Christ our Savior and Reconciler we serve in 11 countries ( Algeria, Angola, Brazil, Canada, Italy, France, Madagascar, Myanmar (Burma), Philippines, Poland and USA). We are in the different Marian Shrines especially the Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, Parishes, Schools, Hospital Ministry, accompanying women/girls in Crisis, Handicapped and drug rehabilitation Centers, Facilitating recollections and retreat, Youth Ministry, teaching women basic hygiene and Alternative Medicines and wherever we are called where the reconciling love of the Father is needed to be heard and to be proclaimed. Here in USA we are in the two Dioceses - Arlington and Fall River. In our Diocese of Arlington we Sisters serves in St. Timothy, St. Mary of Sorrows, St. Michael Catholic School, Pastoral Ministry at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, Christ House Program of the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, and as Catholic Volunteer Assistant Chaplain at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. In the Diocese of Fall River, our Sisters are in the Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette.
Whatever we receive from this Appeal goes to the formation of our Sisters mostly in Angola, Madagascar, Myanmar, Poland and Philippines and for the support of our missionary work/ministries in the poor countries where our Sisters serves especially in Angola, Madagascar, Myanmar, Philippines and Brazil.
