Mission Appeal:
Storytelling in the Digital Age
Keeping the objectives in mind, under the theme of "Storytelling in the Digital Age," The Regional Communications Center in collaboration with Madha TV will organize two-day workshops targeting selected youth from diverse dioceses of Tamil Nadu. Over 250 enthusiastic participants from 18 dioceses have actively engaged in these workshops, gaining invaluable insights and skills. The workshops focus on various aspects of digital content creation namely:
- Utilizing storytelling platforms
- Mastering photo and video editing tools
- Fostering proactive online engagement
- Promoting cyber-activism.
Renowned experts and professionals in the digital content creation field lead sessions and empower participants to become Socially responsible and Digitally proficient individuals. To ensure continuous learning and skill development, dedicated WhatsApp groups have been established for participants, offering ongoing guidance and tasks to enhance their digital storytelling abilities.
Forming and Storming
Once the first stage of training program (forming) is over, interested youth (the super 30) will be called for the second round of training program (storming). The select individuals will be guided to respond and proactively react to the misinformation and misleading campaigns, which victimize the vulnerable of the society and to Communicate Positivism. Thus, the constant and continual guidance in the field of digital media will enhance the young individuals to responsibly engage in cyber-activism to counter the hegemonic and divisive narratives on social media platforms. Every year the ongoing training program will carve and sculpture hundreds of young catholic minds from various walks of life until they become a movement (Young Catholic Social Media Movement (YCSMM)).
