The Apostolic Life Community of Priests in the Opus Spiritus Sancti (The Holy Spirit Fathers) – Africa Province

We are a Missionary Community based in Tanzania, and our members do missions in and outside the country including the U.S.

What We Do

We educate kids from Pre-K to High School, including orphans, and those with special needs. We run programs to help women and girls. We run health centers, especially in rural areas, and provide medication to children, women, and the elderly. We work in parishes. We provide pastoral support, and religious education for people to grow in their faith.

Who Does It

We are blessed to have many young men who feel to be called by God to serve God and the Church as priests. As a young Missionary Community, we have many needs. At present, we face the challenge of meeting the tuition fees for our 75 major seminarians who are now in formation for both Philosophical and Theological Studies at Jordan University in Morogoro – Tanzania.

These seminarians appear to be excited and passionate about their vocation journey. They are eager to grow in spiritual maturity, and become holy men, and be missionaries of Jesus.

It is very important to have as many priests as the Lord provides in order to serve both the local needs and the needs of the Mission Church outside Tanzania. The Community/Society responds to the call of Christ and the mission of the Apostles. The call has no fixed time and place but is for all the times and all places.

Why We Do It

‘Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Mt.28:19-20). Any assistance from MCP will be so helpful in supporting the formation of these young men who will soon move into the priesthood.
