Mission Appeal:
The Vincentian Congregation, a missionary sending Religious Congregation, was founded in Kerala, India,
on November 20, 1904, modeled after the Congregation of the Mission founded by St. Vincent de Paul.

St. Joseph Province is one of the three Provinces of the Vincentian Congregation. We have 170 priests and 163 seminarians in our Province. Our priests are engaged in mission work in many mission dioceses in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and in other parts of the world. MCP Participation will help us provide
financial support for the training of our 161 Seminarians and Novices. In Kerala State ,India we have no shortage of vocations to the priesthood, only the shortage of funds to train our seminarians. Appeal proceeds will help us to bring food, education, housing, and most importantly Gospel Message to the poor in our Missions. We are listed in the 2019 National Catholic Directory (Pages 1722-23).

Participation in the 2020 Mission Appeal in the Diocese of Arlington will help us foster human development and growth inspired by Gospel values. Funds received from the 2020 Appeal will also help us build Churches and chapels, set-up rural health clinics, train and support catechists, provide
assistance for pastoral projects to effectively carry out our work of evangelization in our new missions. Proceeds from the will help us provide good training and formation for our 163 Seminarians and Novices. These funds will help us provide Christ-centered Education to thousands of children in our De
Paul Vincentian Schools. These offerings will also help us support hundreds of very poor children in our children’s homes. These funds will help us rebuild lives and homes of the Flood Stricken Poor in Kerala We continue to provide, food, clothing and supplies, building materials, housing and most
importantly Hope to the victims of flood and other natural disasters The proceeds from the appeal will go to support our educational and technical institutions that help young women and men to receive suitable training and find employment
